Stand: Oktober 2026
Bastian Beivers, Hauptstraße 31E, 38165 Lehre, Deutschland, E-Mail: mail@musicianshub.online (siehe Impressum).
keine Einwilligung erforderlich (§ 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG).

This translation is provided for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.
Bastian Beivers, Hauptstraße 31E, 38165 Lehre, Germany, email: mail@musicianshub.online (see legal notice). No data protection officer has been appointed, as the requirements of § 38 BDSG are not met.
The connection is always encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). When you visit the site, technically necessary access data is logged: IP address, time, requested address, status code, browser identifier. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (operation and security of the service). Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
For an account we process your username (and its spelling as display name), email address and password (only as an argon2id hash, never in plain text), plus the time of creation and of the last login, the features enabled for you and your settings (e.g. language and tool defaults). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (terms of use). The data is deleted as soon as you delete your account. An account whose email address is not confirmed within 24 hours is deleted automatically.
During the closed beta, registration is only possible with an invitation link that we send you by email (sending see section 8; a band link works for up to 7 accounts). For each invitation we store the recipient address, the code only as a hash value, its type, creation and expiry time, and which accounts were created with it and when. The invitation is deleted once it has expired and no account created with it exists any more. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (access control for the beta).
What you create in MusiciansHub – collections, projects, songs, contents and variations, uploaded files, saved tabs and rack plans – is stored in order to provide the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Content is visible only to you and to the people you invite to a project or give a share link to, within the permissions you grant. Project members see your username. Deleted content stays in the trash for 30 days and is then removed permanently. All your content is deleted together with your account. Please do not upload content that third parties hold rights to without their permission.
The tools (e.g. MIDI generator, Tab Maker, backing track) send your input to our server for processing. It is used only to generate the file and is not stored unless you explicitly save the result in your account. Audio files never leave your browser; only technical details such as length and sample rate are transmitted. To limit requests, the server keeps the IP address in memory for a few minutes without storing it. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
You can contact us via the support window (signed in only). We send your text, attached images, your username, the address of the page you were on and the browser identifier by email to our mailbox (see section 8). To limit abuse (max. 5 requests per 24 hours) we store the account and IP address of the request for 2 days. We delete the emails once the request has been resolved and no retention obligation applies. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
We may send you messages in your account's notifications (e.g. replies to support requests, notes about the beta). They are deleted as soon as you dismiss them, at the latest after 30 days. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
To confirm your address, reset your password, delete your account, and for invitations and support requests, we send emails via Google (Gmail/SMTP, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Your address or the content of the request is transmitted to Google in the process. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
To prevent mass account creation and password guessing, we store IP addresses exclusively as a peppered hash value (HMAC-SHA256 with a server-side secret) and only for a limited time. Without this secret the address cannot be inferred; the hashes are not linked to any account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
| Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|
| Registrations per connection (max. 3) | 24 hours |
| Failed logins (lock after 3) | 10 minutes |
| Emails sent per connection (max. 5) | 1 hour |
We only set technically necessary cookies: mh_sess keeps you
signed in (a random identifier only, expires after 30 days and is deleted
when you sign out), mh_lang remembers your chosen language
(1 year). The theme setting (light/dark) is stored only locally in your
browser and is not transmitted to us. There is no analytics, no tracking and
no advertising, so no consent is required (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
The data is stored on a server in Germany at Hetzner Online GmbH (Gunzenhausen), which acts as our processor. The only other recipients are Google within the scope of sections 6 and 8 (during the beta also 14), and bodies to which we are legally obliged to disclose data. Google may also process data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists (Art. 45 GDPR). There is no automated decision-making.
You can trigger access and erasure yourself: under My account you can download your data as JSON or delete your account permanently. For anything else, an email to the address above is enough.
To apply for beta access we link to a form on Google Forms (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). You are only redirected to Google once you click the link; Google's privacy policy applies there as well (policies.google.com/privacy). We receive the information you enter in the form and use it solely to select beta participants and to send you an invitation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to use). We delete the answers at the latest after the beta phase ends.
